Bellingham’s Children’s Film Festival

Brand Promotional Video

The Bellingham Children’s Film Festival is a community event hosted by a locally owned theater designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, and engagement with film among younger audiences.

The objective of this pitch was to create a motion-driven promotional concept that would excite children and families while helping the festival stand out as an imaginative and welcoming experience.

Working alongside the Pickford Film Center team, our direction focused on translating the wonder of childhood imagination into an energetic visual campaign that felt playful, cinematic, and emotionally engaging.

Made for the kids, this motion piece captures the childhood magic of a pop-up book unfolding in your hands. The animation blends tactile paper mechanics with dynamic motion to bring vibrant cinematic landscapes to life. As each digital page flips, young audiences are invited to step into new movie genres and endless adventures.

Endless Worlds of Possibilities

Taking the tactile approach, we hand-painted each layer of our pop-up book landscapes from foreground to background. My contribution to the project was designing and compositing these painted layers into an in-depth digital scenery through which our characters traveled.
